Solo is a R&B musical group. The original members were Robert Anderson, Darnell Chavis, Eunique Mack, and Dan Stokes. The group recorded their gold-selling debut album in Minneapolis and released it in 1995, with production by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

Hey, what's up? How you doing? My name is Darnell Chavis from the group Solo. Strength, strength to me is someone who knows exactly what they want and how to get it. Strength for me is, my mother. Strength for me is my grandmother, may she rest in peace. She knew how to make her way out of no way, you know? To me I admire that really inspire me. To pursue my career in certain things, strength is president Obama. You got to have strength to run a country, correct? Yes. Strength to me is courage, you know? Like going out and performing in front of like 10,000 people, you know? That takes a lot of strength, trust me. So yeah, strength is a very empowering thing. I think we all have it, should use it.
