Shefik was an official judge for this year's Telly Awards, where he served alongside a panel of esteemed judges. This year marked the 40th anniversary of the Telly Awards, the world's largest honor for video and television content across all screens. In addition, Shefik has been named a keynote speaker for SMART Power Talks at the 10th Annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics & Mobile Communication Conference (IEEE UEMCON 2019). The conference aims to bring together scholars from different backgrounds to emphasize dissemination of ongoing research in the fields of computing, electronics, and mobile communication.
