Hi. I'm Alyssa Lego, your 2017 Miss Stars and Stripes' Outstanding Teen. So, dreams. Dreams I feel in way represent life and they're a huge aspect of life because sometimes in our lives we can feel like, we're living in a nightmare, which is unfortunate at times, but other times we feel like we're living a dream that we really don't wanna wake up from, and some of my dreams are to attend Princeton University. When I was in first grade, I told my teacher that I wanted to go to Princeton University, and then she called my mom and my mom was in disbelief and now I'm 14-years-old and that's still my dream, so maybe in five years I can come back with some good news. Another one of my dreams is to be an author. I love writing. I love my family, so one of my dreams is to keep my family healthy and happy. My dreams are for my friends to achieve success in all that they wanted to achieve, but my ultimate dream is really for my brother, Michael, who's a child with special needs to have the same opportunities that I do, and with the community involvement, I'm able to make those dreams come true for my brother. and for children with special needs like my brother. So, those are some of my dreams and I would really love to hear some of yours because in communities, I feel it can really bridge communities together if we share our dreams and share our visions to create something beautiful.
