Mathew Knowles found phenomenal success grooming and managing the mega group Destiny's Child. He is now handing out mics to Blush, a harmonically blended hip-hop and R&B trio, and since 2013, they are using their mics to mix fiery rhymes and hooks.
What's up, I'm Sunni from Blush music, and today I'm gonna be talking to you about strength. I feel like strength is the power to withstand. And I feel like in life there's a lot of things that are gonna come your way that's gonna try to knock you off of your pattern or knock you off of your wherever you're tryna to go in life. With me with music, I've been doing music for almost seven years and there's a lot of different things and people that have came my way that I feel like has shot to knock me off. And even down to my own, in homes, what I feel like support system cause it wasn't always there, for instance, in the beginning my mother did not believe that I would be sitting where I am here or traveling or doing the things that I'm doing, and I got a lot of backlash and I got a lot of things said to me that was very negative. But I feel like with the strength that I had within myself, that I was able to overcome and to keep pushing and to block out a lot of negativity and strength was a key part in that. And I feel like within the music industry you gotta have strength and you gotta have foundation within yourself to be able to knock down and to close your ears to a lot of the negativity that you might hear. And yeah, that's what strength means to me.
