Do something for me. Try to pick just one word to describe yourself. Each word stands alone. Each word has an identity. But, they are just letters, a group of glottal stops and diphthongs, sounds which express thought. However, there is no real identity behind them, only other words, and other strange sounds.
There should be more. So much more!
I am me, and you are you. We have distinct identities, like Venn diagrams which overlap in three dimensions. So, try again. Pick one word to describe yourself, or even two, or three.
Ask yourself, "Are these words my identity? Are they enough to define who I am, who I can become?"
Of course not. Yet, perhaps maybe so.
