Chris Jasper is a former member of The Isley Brothers and Isley-Jasper-Isley, and is responsible for writing and producing the majority of The Isley Brothers music and Isley-Jasper-Isley music. He is also an Inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Hey everybody, I'm Chris Jasper and you might know me from the Isley Brothers or Isley-Jasper-Isley. I'd just like to talk to you a little bit about a song that's on my latest album, "Share with Me." It's called "I Love You" and it's gonna be the next release from the album, a Valentine's Day release. The album is full of ballads and funk but this is a very special one. And this is the kind of song you wanna put on if you really really care about someone. You might wanna put this on and just let the lyrics tell the story for you. That's kind of how I wrote the song, I was thinking that way when I wrote the lyrics. And it's got a little tempo to it, so if you wanna dance to it you can do that too. It's a very intimate type of a song. I really like the song, it's one of my favorites from the album. And recently there's been a remix done by a company called Boogie Back Productions. And it's being released in England. That's coming out this coming week. So there's a lot of attention. This song got a lot of attention when the album first came out. And so it's a very special one. And part of the "Share With Me" album which is out, my 14th solo album, since I've gone solo after Isley-Jasper-Isley. So there's a lot of material that I've done from that point to now and on my website you can hear all of that music on Chrisjasper.com, including the new album. "Share With Me" has a lot on it. A lot of love songs on it, and "I Love You" is one of them. I really hope you enjoy the song. I really do, it's one of my favorites.
