In March 2004, Dan Bazile joined the news team at WNYT (a television affiliate of NBC), where he anchors "Weekend Today". Prior to that, he spent several years as an actor and freelance writer before jumping into television news in 1999 as a reporter for WXXA (a television affiliate of FOX). Since then, he's become a familiar face to Capital Region residents in New York.
During Dan's reporting career in the area, he has covered a wide range of events from snowstorms to politics. He's also covered major stories, including the September 11th terrorist attacks, and the extradition of Ira Einhorn from Europe to the United States, to serve prison time for murder.
Dan grew up in New York City, where he attended Springfield Gardens High School. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and Theatre from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
Dan enjoys playing the piano and writing screenplays in his spare time.
