Hi, my name is Satomi Hofmann, I'm a Broadway actress at the Phantom of the Opera. I'm also a singer, composer, musician and arranger and a founding member of the all-female Celtic rock band Killian's Angels. When thinking about revolution, you know, the 2016 presidential elections were a very chaotic and strange time, there's a lot of tense energy running about and a lot of talk about changing the way that we function as a society and that we function as a country and the community in this country. And for me, I believe that revolution really starts from within. And I know that can sound incredibly trite, but I don't mean it that way, I mean truly looking deep within yourself and seeing what is it that you would like to be, who is it that you want to be in this world? And what can you do to become that person? There's this saying, be the change that you want to see in the world, and I definitely find that once you start practicing those habits and those beliefs of who you want to be, it starts reflecting itself in the people around you, in the people that you encounter and in the situations you end up in. And I actually really do believe that that's a way for us to change not only our nation, but our world.
