Hello, my name is Freddie Jackson, Grammy nominated artist and world renowned traveler around the world singing love songs, now singing songs about peace. I take a little time off to travel to go into different places like Brussels I did a show, and the promoter took me to the block where Marvin Gaye lived. I was able to search my soul as Marvin used to search his soul whenever he went to Europe. On this particular album, there's a song. The name of the album is called Love Signals and internally I've been struggling with a lot of stuff that's been going on in the world. The Orlando Massacre, wars, and people sending their children off to fight senseless wars and not returning and where we are politically right now, which is in a chaotic state of mind. This Love Signals is basically about peace, that's the sign. The song says, "Getting ready for love? "Peace, we've got to send it." I think that we have to send love out. Love has been typed, it's been texted, it's been emailed and people are telling you when to send love, when to lol, to laugh, but I think we as a people, white, black, gay, straight, whatever the situation may be, we really need to start sending out the signal of love more. Because I think that's the only thing that's gonna help with this divide. Love Signals from this album is a message from my heart. It's like, "Ain't no stopping us now." I felt like I needed to give this message from my heart. I've told people how to make love, when to make love. I have a song that says, "Do it in the bathroom in the tub. "Do it living room on the rug." I've told you a million ways how how to make love. Right now, I'm concerned with what's going on in the world. I think we need to send the message of peace out. That's what Love Signals is about. It's simply about peace, a different Freddie. As I grow older and things change in my life, there's a calmness that has come over me. There's a sense of peace that has come over me. I can deliver something like this because I'm living in it. I'm faced with this every single day. I can always get back into turning off the lights and throwing hot wax on ya like Teddy would say. It's more important for me now to try to unify some hearts because I think the heart is struggling right now and I hope that this CD, Love Signals, will reach the heart and the soul and give someone else the peace that I found in my heart.
