Vilna

"Vilna" is an evocation and remembrance of pre-war Europe and the thriving Jewish culture, both religious and secular, that flourished in almost every country on the continent. In the video, note the color film of Warsaw, Poland from August 1939. World War II started days later, on September 1, 1939, when the Nazis invaded Poland.

"Evocations" is the first collaboration between William Goldstein and the passionate, imaginative violinist Lili Haydn. The seven movements on this album are all emotionally connective, individually evocative pieces. Evocations was recorded on March 19 and 20, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. The title track, "Evocations", approaches the spiritually transcendent. The life travels and experiences of both of these creators can be heard and felt in these inspired compositions.
