ArAm is a prêt-à-porte high-end brand founded by Arwa Al-Ammari, who has a passion for arts all her life. Being a painter and sculptor, Al-Ammari looks at fashion through an artist's eye.
Deciding to shape talent with academia, Al-Ammari completed her studies at the French fashion school Esmod in 2012, which was combined with an MBA from Leister UK.
ArAm was established in 2013. One year later, ArAm won the Italian Magazine Grazia style award for emerging designer ME 2014. The jury included industry experts — including Bong Guerrero the founder and CEO of Fashion Forward, and Elaine Lloyd-Jones (Editor of Grazia Luxury).
In 2016, Al-Ammari was selected to represent Saudi Arabia in the international reality show "Fashion Star", among 11 other well established designers from all Arab countries. The main judge was the well-known international designer Reem Acra, and the program was aired on the renowned Dubai television channel. After 10 difficult challenges, Al-Ammari was able to win the competition and receeived the title "Fashion Star Arabia".
In 2016, Al-Ammari was assigned to become an Ambassador of the Arab Fashion Council, which is the largest non-profit association supporting fashion industry in the Middle East and represents 22 Arab countries.
Following a vision of style, ArAm introduced elegance in an edgy and contemporary manner. ArAm's brand embraces four elements when designing, aiming to produce pieces that are elegant, contemporary, memorable, and timeless. The designs are featured by its special color and fabrics combinations and reflecting a Middle Eastern soul, blended with international inspirations.
ArAm was featured in many regional and international media outlets, such as CNN, Fashion TV, MBC Style, Harpers Bazar Arabia, Arab news, Gulf News, Khaleej Times, The National, Grazia Middle East, Laha Magazine, Ahlan Magazine, and others.
