Amanda Witkowski, formerly USA National Miss Garden State 2017 and National American Miss New Jersey 2017, is a Thomas More honors student at Sacred Heart University. An aspiring pediatrician, she is majoring in biology on a pre-med track. Amanda is passionate about children and their educational, societal, and medical well-being. Of particular interest are the developmental disorders on the autism spectrum.
Amanda was the organizer and host of Autism Skates 2014 and 2016. She has since co-founded "Shop. Sell. Strut!", as an Autism New Jersey awareness and fundraising event, and the "I Strut" campaign series.
As a Delta Zeta: Pi Tau, Amanda is involved with the Sharkey Hearing Foundation and Painted Turtle Camp for children with life threatening illness. A lifetime Girl Scout, 6-time recipient of the President's Volunteer Service award, candidate for the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh award, and pageant title holder, she is known for her community service. A senior-level figure skater, she is recognized as a United States Figure Skating Association double gold medalist.
Amanda has studied ballet, tap, and jazz since the age of 2½. She is a competitive cheerleader and was seen in the 2015 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, as part of the Spirit of America team.
