JACKSON, N.J. — On Wednesday, August 16, 2017 (National Roller Coaster Day), Six Flags Great Adventure set the first world record for the most guests riding a roller coaster in pajamas for one-hour, as part of its "Sleep 'N' Soar" and "DC Super Hero Summer" festivities. Media personality Shefik participated in the record-setting event and was awarded an official certificate to commemorate his participation, along with 167 other participants.
All participants were required to wear superhero pajamas, while riding "Batman: The Ride". Built by consulting engineers Bolliger & Mabillard, the roller coaster is steel inverted, based thematically on the 1989 film "Batman". The roller coaster rises to a height of between 100 and 105 feet and reaches top speeds of 50 miles per hour. Shefik opted to ride the roller coaster while wearing a Batman onesie, complete with cowl and cape.
