Talking about my love. This is Sonny Turner, lead singer of The Platters. We were talkin' about the love of things, the love of music. It's a song that I love, that I sing and it talks about love, With This Ring. It was a big hit for us. When I sang that song and the words and the lyrics to it, I've had so many people tell me how much they love the song, With This Ring. I've had an opportunity to sing it for dear friends who, and one unexpecting bride-to-be at a wedding in Las Vegas. And I was at this particular hotel and I was hidden back in a back room and we had set this all up with her husband-to-be and when they actually came for the ceremony, and they walked into the aisle and stood before the preacher, the preacher who was going to marry them, and when he gave them the vows and they said their vows, he took her hand and they started the music which was one of her most favorite songs. Her eyes kinda lit up as he was taking her hand and he started to put the ring on and I start singing: ♪ With this ring I promise ♪ ♪ I'll always love you ♪ And I came out of the room singing it. That lady almost just dropped to the floor. I'm tellin' ya. What a wonderful surprise and how nice it was to be able to do that for them and to sing that song about love, With This Ring. I'll always love you. I'll always love you. That's one of the great things I love about With This Ring. It's one of my great songs.
