My name is Eloisa Diaz-Sanz I am a fashion designer and one of my favorite quotes is by Malcolm X. And the quote is as follows, "You cannot separate peace from freedom "because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom." And this is a quote that I always think of when I think of freedom. And I've always wondered what separates people that live in a state of joy from those who don't. These are the people I'm sure you've seen as well in your life that always see the glass as half full. They're the optimists, that no matter what life throws at them, they always seem to take it in stride. I've searched for this answer myself through many different forms of meditation, yoga, books, I mean, anything you could think of that promotes mindfulness and inner peace, I've tried it. And the reason why love this quote so much is because I found out that it was the answer basically that I was searching for. These people that live in a constant state of joy, they're free and they're emotionally free. These are the people that aren't necessarily hung down by what life throws at them. They take everything in stride because they don't hold on to their emotions. Emotions are just something they're just something that passes by. And because they're able to do this, they are free.
