William Goldstein was previously a recording artist for Motown Records and CBS Masterworks. He has over 50 albums currently available. He has also scored over 50 movie and television projects, including NBC's "Fame" and Disney's "The Miracle Worker".

Hi, I'm William Goldstein. I'm one of the few people in the world, I think I'm the only person in the world, who can say he was a recording artist on Motown Records, discovered by Berry Gordy in the '70s, and CBS Masterworks. I now have my own label, distributed by The Orchard, which streams between three million and eight million streams monthly, for which I am grateful to all of you. I also pioneered the technology that most people in music use today, and became the first person to record a score on a computer for film or television back in 1985. Very happy to share with you a new release, came out December 2019, "Ana Luisa", which is part of a new album called Muses that came out in 2020. What's really special for me about "Ana Luisa" is that she's actually in my life. And she's one of the muses on the album Muses. Muses is a collection of three-note musical portraits. A person picks three notes on the piano, and then I take those three notes and create in real time a musical composition. Now, "Ana Luisa" is based upon the name Ana Luisa. ♪ Ana Luisa ♪ And it was going around in my head for a long time, and I finally decided I had to do something with it. And while I do instant composition effortlessly, "Ana Luisa" took me a couple of weeks to actually make a recording that I was happy with, and I hope that you will be inspired. Now, it's very interesting when I'm creating in real time. How does that happen? It happens because the creative spirit runs through me. And I think the creativity in all of us can be accessed when we get in touch with the deeper recesses of who we are. And when we do that, I think the higher level of our being gets translated into our art. That for me is the essence of the work. I've been this last many years, creating in real time. I've spent years doing movie scores and making records. But creating in real time has connected me with something beyond myself, something great within myself, something that is inexplicable, except to relate in spiritual terms. And I hope that you, all of you out there, will take the time to listen to some of this work. For me, it's all about the spirit coming through. And you can hear that in these instant compositions.
