NEW YORK — Media personality and technology maven Shefik (https://shefik.info) served as an official judge at Rizzle (formerly named Rumbl) (https://rizzle.tv), for the platform's first video contest in journalism and storytelling. Aptly titled "360Kickoff" (https://rizzle.tv/contests/360kickoff/), the contest bootstrapped the area of news and storytelling on Rizzle and drew amazing channels across news, sports, conspiracy theories, global warming, Twitter highlights, and more. Approximately $5,000 in cash prizes were awarded to the top 3 winners of the contest.

Following a series of subsequent contests, Shefik later returned as an official judge for Rizzle's next exciting contest titled "360Encore" (https://rizzle.tv/contests/360encore/). The contest was a follow-up that took citizen journalism to the next level. Upping the ante for the highly anticipated contest, the prize bounty was increased to $10,000 in cash prizes — the highest ever offered by Rizzle thus far.

The initial video content includes exclusive behind-the-scenes and rare candid footage of Shefik's adventurous journey and attendance of high-profile events, such as Brand A at New York Fashion Week, BroadwayCon, and World Wildlife Day at the United Nations. New videos will be posted regularly, as Shefik explores the roads ahead wide-eyed.

The initial video content features a surprising number of notable guests, such as Tony Award nominee Rob McClure, who is currently portraying the dual role of Daniel Hillard/Mrs. Doubtfire in the Broadway musical "Mrs. Doubtfire", which is based on the 1993 film of the same name. Shefik later expanded his skillset to technology, where he worked as Technical Producer at TIME magazine. Afterwards, he worked as Web Developer and Engineer at Condé Nast Digital (Vanity Fair, GQ, Wired), Vimeo, Columbia Law School (Columbia University), Publicis Modem (LG, Sanofi Pasteur), HUGE, and Penton Media, among others. Additionally, he has held senior-level positions at many celebrated brands, including IBM, NBCUniversal (CNBC, Syfy, Chiller), Newsweek, MTV World, Merck, Merriam-Webster, and Wolters Kluwer. Shefik currently serves as a Technical Lead at NBC Sports, where he is leading the development for critical web-based business applications for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
