Julianna Rigoglioso is a professional actor, singer and dancer. She began her career singing for her six older brothers and their friends at swim meets, wrestling matches, basketball, football and baseball games. Shirley Grant Management discovered her, at the age of five, while she was singing and tap dancing in the stands at one of her brother's games. Since then, her professional career has taken her on an amazing adventure.
Her first equity role was Gretl von Trapp in "The Sound of Music" (Theatre of the Stars National Tour), directed by Norb Joerder. Following that, she performed in "Twist" at the Pasadena Playhouse. She enjoyed working with Skyline Pictures – Michelle Seward, Tena Clark, Debbie Allen, Dror Soref, Willette Murphy Klausner, as well as Gary Goddard/Forbes Candlish (the award winning writers of "Twist"), William F. Brown & Tina Tippit, Gary Prim, Sheldon Epps, Stephen Eich, and the entire cast.
Julianna made her Off-Broadway debut as Pippi Longstocking in early 2012 in a production of "Pippi", directed by Laura Luc and produced by KOTA Productions. Julianna has worked on television, in music videos, film, voiceovers, and print. Julianna was a part of the Broadway National Tour Company portraying the role of Jane Banks. She also appeared in "Far From Heaven" with Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale in the Off-Broadway production at Playwrights Horizons. You can hear her singing a song from the show here.
When not working, Julianna enjoys spending time with her family. As the youngest of seven, and the only girl Julianna enjoys practical jokes and having fun. She has two dogs named after her favorite ice cream flavors "Cookies & Cream and Rocky Road". She also plays soccer and basketball. Julianna enjoys spending time at Broadway Kids Care (BKC). BKC brings together young actors from current and past Broadway shows to do community service work.
